    Application period: November 2016 

    The CEMS programme is open to all full time master students at Corvinus Business School and the full-time MBA students at Corvinus MBA Center.

    The admission procedure consists of two rounds. An applicant is enrolled upon the successful completion of all of both rounds of the procedure described below.

    • Registration in the Fall term 2016 as a first semester student in a full time master program at Corvinus Business School and the full-time MBA students at Corvinus MBA Center
    • Students already enroled in any of the above master programs or with a non-business bachelor degree or starting their mater in the upcoming Spring term are also eligible upon meeting the requirements of the Admission Regulations
    • Cumulated average grade (or BSc degree) of minimum 3,5
    • Fulfillment of 60 ECTS in management
    • Proof of excellent knowledge in English
    • Good communication skills of another CEMS school language
    • A letter of recommendation from one of the professors of the Corvinus University of Budapest

    In the first round of the entrance procedure students are pre-selected on the basis of the following documents which they must submit together with the CEMS common online application form and the CEMS - Corvinus University of Budapest form:

    • Curriculum vitae (in English)
    • Motivation letter (in English, max 1 A4 page)
    • English language certifications
    • Second foreign language certifications
    • Transcript of records
    • Bachelor diploma (if applicable)
    • Letter of reference from a university lecturer (of Corvinus University) in English or Hungarian
    • Evidence of extracurricular experience listed in the CV
    • Other relevant supporting materials

    Students are expected to show convincingly in these documents the compliance with the selection criteria. For specific foreign language requirements please follow the instructions in the Application form. The documents are then scrutinized by a selection committee and the following criteria will be evaluated:

    • Work experience or any other relevant extra curriculum activities (maximum 25 points)
    • Foreign language knowledge (maximum 10 points)
    • Academic achievements (maximum 30 points)
    • Motivation letter (maximum 5 points)

    The total maximum number of points achievable is 70.

    Students are then invited to the second round of the admission process. Interviews are conducted by a team consisting of 4-6 members (the CEMS MIM academic director, a language professor, the programme manager, a company representative, a CEMS MIM alumni and a representative of current students).

    Selection is based upon students' potential to meet the following criteria at the interview:

    • Knowledge, formal education, ability to analyse, learn and reflect
    • Interpersonal competencies, accurate understanding of others, learning from others, ability to convince, tolerance, team player skills
    • Desire to achieve, performance orientation and strive for results, motivation for the CEMS MIM
    • Integrity, ability to show and act on own beliefs
    • International orientation, curiosity for differences, sensitivity and adaptability, spirit of facing challenges

    45 students will be selected.
